We think we can handle that!  This cappuccino pancake recipe with mocha syrup from PastryAffair.com not only sounds delicious, but the double dose of coffee in this mouth-watering morning meal makes this a must-have breakfast for coffee lovers everywhere! We’ve tweaked this to add our Espresso Milano #5.

Here’s what you’ll need for the pancakes:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely ground Grande Kaffe Espresso Milano #5
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Here’s what you’ll need to do for the pancakes:

With a  whisk, mix together the flour, baking powder, finely ground Grande Kaffe Espresso Milano #5 , sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center of the mixture and then add in the milk, egg, and melted butter, stiring well until all ingredients are combined.

Heat up that griddle, we’re ready to make the pancakes by pouring 1/4 cup of the batter onto the griddle and cooking each side until brown to your taste.

Here’s what you’ll need to do for the mocha syrup:

Grab a small sauce pan and start to whisk together the Espresso Milano coffee, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-low heat and stir it until the syrup begins to thicken. This should take about 5 minutes. Once it thickens, remove it from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Emjoy!
